The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)), a unit of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, supervises all Department of Defense acquisitions, including procurement of goods and services, research and development, developmental testing, and contract administration.
To support the analysis of the entire defense budget and congressional reporting, the Defense Acquisition Visibility Environment (DAVE) was created to provide DoD personnel with access to accurate, authoritative, and reliable data to support acquisition oversight, insight, analysis, and decision-making. With 140+ Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAPs) and Major Automated Information System (MAIS) programs such as the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and the M1 Abrams Tank, the system was the system of record and definitive source for all DoD major investments.
Our Infinity teams were key contributors to the core features of DAVE and strategic road map. Infinity was responsible for several key areas ranging from user story collaboration, human centered design, story implementation, agile software development, automated testing, customer support, and analytics. Our team members were recognized leaders in the agency and recognized via awards for their technical prowess and ability to deliver functionality ahead of schedule.
DAVE was the first DoD application to incorporate the standards of the Acquisition Visibility Data Framework, which allowed easy integration with legacy systems like Defense Acquisition Management Information Retrieval (DAMIR) and Acquisition Information Retrieval (AIR) systems. Our architectural design was highly scalable and extendable, which allowed a myriad of new data stores from Air Force, Army, Marines to be submitted and integrated. The visualization and analysis of this data allowed analysts and program managers to see multi-year trends and address budgetary warning signs quicker than ever before.
